The UMI Autocross Challenge is a two day motorsports event held annually at UMI Motorsports Park. With humble beginnings as a Cruise-In car show, eventually with added autocross, this standalone event is now one of the premier races of its kind in the USA. Autocross competitors from all over the US and Canada test driver and machine for two full days on UMIMP’s 5/8 mi autocross course. This course features high speeds, technical sections, elevation changes and varying configurations. In addition to the racing component, the UMI Autocross Challenge is all about fun, friends and family. We have a Thursday night track party, Friday night UMI Factory Open House and plenty of other food along the way. The UMI Autocross Challenge is family friendly and makes for a great way to go racing while not having to leave the kids at home.
We haven’t forgotten our Cruise-In roots and invite car show oriented folks to watch from the drive-in hillside free of charge. For 2019 we’ve made the difficult decision to temporarily eliminate the Cruise-In car show. This is largely due to the UMI Motorsports Park venue- too much old school racetrack and currently not enough car show parking. As the years go by we will be working to bring back the Cruise-In Car Show in its original form, now at UMI Motorsports Park.
