PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Viking's double adjustable front coilover kit for the 3rd generation Camaro and Firebird offers ride height adjustability, as well as compression and rebound settings, all in one convenient package. The shocks feature 19 independently adjustable settings for both compression and rebound, providing a total of 361 possible valving combinations. The 2-1/2” diameter springs are available in a range of rates suitable for everything from light drag racing to heavy auto-x and road racing. This kit is a direct bolt-on and can significantly enhance your car's performance in various situations. Damping can be fine-tuned for street, strip, auto-x, or road race by simply turning the adjusters by hand.
The kit includes an innovative upper mount with a thrust bearing for a smoother steering feel, correcting any steering impact when switching to coilovers on the 3rd generation F-body platform. Ride height adjustment is done using a spanner wrench and takes just a few minutes per side. It is highly recommended to use thrust washers and a spanner wrench for easier adjustments. The coilover kit must be paired with UMI caster and camber plates P/N 2040 and is not compatible with factory camber plates.
Included in the kit are two double adjustable front coilover struts, two front springs with a choice of spring rates, and the necessary coilover hardware. Optional but recommended are the Spanner Wrench & Thrust Bearing Kit. The spanner wrench allows for height adjustments while the shock is mounted, and the thrust bearing kit reduces friction for smoother adjustments.
For wheel and tire selection data, the Viking strut on a 1989 IROC Camaro, using a factory 245/50-16 tire and wheel combination, had a 1/2" clearance between the spring and the tire. The coilover will fit with factory tire and wheel combinations. These Viking struts are primarily designed for drag racing, with minor spindle grinding required. The UMI Swaybar 2117 is compatible with these Viking struts.
- This coilover kit must be used in conjunction with UMI caster and camber plates (P/N 2040) and is incompatible with factory camber plates.
- Tire Width Note: For wheel and tire selection data, UMI tested the Viking strut on our 1989 IROC Camaro. With a factory 245/50-16 tire and wheel combination (factory style tire and GM factory wheel and wheel offset) there was 1/2″ of clearance between the spring and the tire. Coilover will clear with factory tire and wheel combinations.

Flat Rate Shipping ($12.95) is only offered on Retail orders over $149 shipped via Ground in the Continental United States.
All International customers are responsible for any applicable duties and/or taxes incurred on your shipment upon delivery.
Return Information
All returns are subject to the authorization of UMI Performance, Inc. Please email [email protected] for a Returned Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Our Sales team will either authorize or deny the request for return at its discretion. Any product returned without an issued RMA number will not be credited. All returns must be made within 30 days of delivery, be in new condition, be in original sealed packaging and include the RMA number on the outside of the packaging. No exceptions. All products and their packaging must be in new and unopened condition. Products that have been altered, installed, or modified are not returnable. All shipping costs for returns are the responsibility of the customer. All returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee as well as the original shipping charges that UMI Performance may have incurred while shipping your order.
