G-body Build Series – Removing the Rear Factory Suspension

Join Dustin and Ramey in the UMI Race shop as they transform an old 1978 Cutlass into a weekend warrior with cruising capabilities. In this series they swap the old, worn out, factory suspension with a UMI Performance Stage 2 Handling kit. The UMI Stage 2 handling kit is the – bolt-on and go – way to improve handling and performance. It gives your classic car a modern feel. 

In this episode the team gets the Oldsmobile Cutlass ready for new rear suspension. They remove the rusted, old, factory rear suspension: including the brake lines, driveshaft, rear control arms, and springs. With that complete, they can slide the rear-end out of the car to install new polyurethane housing bushings to prep it for the new UMI rear arms and lowering springs.
