Wow! Time has really flown by. It feels like just yesterday we were working on our 10-year sticker. Looking back over the past 20 years, I always remember those early years. I was young and determined to succeed. Late nights spent putting together hardware kits and packaging parts. Rushing to create artwork for trade shows, designing flyers and printing catalogs by hand with my brother, Lance. It was a lot of hard work, but it’s made me proud of where we are now. Over the past two decades, I’ve focused on building the best team and creating top-quality suspension and chassis parts. Our recent growth shows we’re heading in the right direction. I want to thank my dad, Jerry, Lance, and all our amazing employees for helping UMI become what it is today.
20 years. What an achievement! When I first started working here 12 years ago, UMI was just beginning to establish itself. I remember standing outside the fence at the GoodGuys Columbus autocross, watching the top contenders and wondering, ‘how can we possibly compete with these cars?’ Over the years, we have built a team of skilled craftsmen and support staff who make it happen. Now, when we arrive at an event, I know we can win. It’s an incredible feeling to know that we have world-class products and are leaders in the muscle car suspension industry.Â
I have a special connection to UMI Motorsports Park. I raced there in the 90s when it was Clearfield county raceway. I’ve loved seeing UMI events breathe new life into the old track. I am excited to see what the next 20 years hold in store.
