UMI Equipped at Muscle on the Mountain

On the weekend of June 17th, UMI Motorsports Park hosted it’s first all muscle car event; UMI’s Muscle on the Mountain. Muscle cars came from all over the nation to compete for the $15,000 in prizes and an invitation to UMI King of the Mountain 5.0.

Among the competitors and winners were UMI Equipped Muscle Cars. We were able to catch up with a few and learn more about their builds. Watch their interview by clicking on their name.

Joe Balesterri’s C1500

Joe Balesterri of PSI Conversion brought his UMI Equipped OBS truck to MOTM. Known as Project Tan Lines, this muscle truck was also equipped with a PSI Conversion wiring harness that made the LS swap easy. Project Tan Lines runs a custom IRS rear suspension complete with some UMI trailing arms and toe rods. Thanks for sponsoring UMIMP and also for racing with us!

Val Pichette’s Trans Am

Val and her 1988 Pontiac Trans Am, Dragonlady GTA, are staples in the UMI community. Val and her husband Tom have worked with us for approximately 8 years now. Her car has carried nearly every 3rd Gen part we make with great success. Their heavily loaded touring schedule provides the perfect way to torture test UMI products. We are proud to have Val as a UMI Equipped driver.

JJ Mallrich’s Camaro

JJ Mallrich and his UMI Equipped 1999 Chevrolet Camaro took first place in the Mid Muscle Car Class at Muscle on the Mountian. This win is part of his hot streak; he also took home the trophy at Optimas DriveAutoX Presented by UMI Performance. Keep up the good work JJ, thanks for keeping UMI in victory lane!
